In the early 1900's, Ruth and Ernie Kruger rode in a horse-drawn wagon with a realtor from the train station in Princeton. He had a potential farm in Glendorado Township to show them. The newlywed couple had minimal experience in farming, but they both felt that it would be a good place to raise a family. A few miles away, another couple, Arthur and Katy Crook, were starting a new life as a family, although they had been in the area longer. They were facing many of the same challenges.
